Have you ever wanted to understand how to take your personal story and make it a written piece of art? Do you have ideas for a short story or novel and want to learn how to write them? This class gives you introductory tools in creative writing for both memoir and fiction writing at all levels. Study craft elements such as characterization, setting, scene, and dialogue in addition to more holistic elements of what makes a story a good piece of writing.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Scholarship opportunities are available to give residents of all ages the opportunity to participate in programs at the Oxford Community Arts Center. Under the program, up to 50% matching scholarships are available through a generous grant from the Kiwanis Club of Oxford.
