Sew a Simple Summer Dress

If you’ve ever wished you could make your own clothes, come take part! You’ll learn how to follow a commercial sewing pattern, and make a garment that reflects your style. Students will need to purchase their own copy of the Cielo Dress pattern from Closet Core patterns before the first class (printed, not downloaded preferred), and to provide their own fabric for the project. Fabric is not needed on the first day, and the instructor can give guidance on where/what to buy. Students should have prior experience using a sewing machine.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Scholarship opportunities are available to give residents of all ages the opportunity to participate in programs at the Oxford Community Arts Center. Under the program, up to 50% matching scholarships are available through a generous grant from the Kiwanis Club of Oxford.
