Memoir Writing Workshop - Sum II
Tue, Jul 22, 2025, 4:00 PM EDT – Tue, Aug 5, 2025, 6:00 PM EDT
Killy Library

AGES: 18+
If you’ve ever had the thought of documenting parts of your life, your memories, and your stories for yourself and your family, join this workshop to learn how to do just that! Based on the idea of writing services like Storyworth, we’ll discuss what makes writing about yourself interesting to others. What elements and details should you include? How can you convey the sentiment of the story convincingly to your children and grandchildren? If you are looking to write a memoir, no matter how short or long, join us to get that project started. Over the course of three weeks, we’ll look at examples and do generative writing exercises as we discuss craft elements to writing. By the end, you’ll have a good start on writing you can share with others.
When: Tuesdays, 4 - 6:00 pm
Location: Killy Library
Min: 4 / Max: 8
