After School Art 2026 (Spring Units)
Students are provided with all supplies and a healthy snack.
When: Wednesdays, 4:15 - 6:15 pm
Location: North Parlor and Art Ed. Room
Min: 7 / Max: 15
Unit D: "A Little of This & That" - February 4 - 11 - 18
The world of art is vast - so many things to discover! In this session, students will explore a variety of art forms, materials, and techniques. They’ll experiment with mobiles (art that hangs and moves), try their hand at painting large rocks to leave behind as surprises, and meet a special guest artist for an unexpected creative twist.
Unit E: "Sculpture" - March 11 - 18 - 25
What can you build with plaster, wire, aluminum foil, and wood? A dancing sculpture, of course! In this session, students will experiment with combining different materials to design and construct a unique, one-of-a-kind work of art.
Unit F: "Photography" - April 3 - 10 - 17
Our most popular unit! What do reflections, light, shadows, and patterns all have in common? A photographer knows. Each student will be given a camera to explore the art of photography - indoors, outdoors, and everywhere in between. After capturing their images, students will create a personal photo journal.
