AGES: 6-13

Kids listen to a story about the gardening using the Three Sisters method (planting of corn, beans, and squash), led by Yvonne Rice. After the story, participants decorate miniature sister houses using natural materials and craft elements that reflect the themes of cooperation and support found in the Three Sisters planting. Children will be invited to imagine where their houses might live in or near the garden and how each “sister” plant helps the others grow.
